I am trying to specify an id space and a bucket using one or two different url params, but can't seem to figure it out.

It seems the following link is the only way that works, but it specifies 'bucket=' twice.

We are submitting fingerprinting samples to ENMFP every 15 seconds, and much of the time we get the JSON returned within a second or two. But a few times an hour, it takes over a minute with no response before it times out and the codegen can finally make another call.

Is there a way to control what the desired timeout period is, so that we could make it much shorter (perhaps 10 seconds)?

Now that Echonest is part of Spotify, will there be more integration of the libraries for fingerprinting purposes?

We are finding that ENMFP is only identifying about 60% of the songs we try, with many of the unidentified songs being newer songs. To double-check our over-the-air sampling, we then captured pieces of the same songs as we played them on Spotify (so they ARE in the Spotify library), but ENMFP was still unable to identify them.

I'm wondering just how confident I can be when running ENMFP data through song identify. I run a 60-second sample using codegen.exe, 30 seconds into the song, and send the resulting data to http://developer.echonest.com/api/v4/song/identify

Here's one of the more extreme examples. For this particular song, my database shows: Augustus Pablo / The Definitive Augustus Pablo / Track 14 / Unity Dub (feat. Rockers All Stars) But Echo Nest shows the artist as "Hugh Mandell" and the song title as "Levi Dub"

The results from the Echo Nest query shows this as a Match Type 8 - "There were multiple matches and the first one was so strong we didn't need to look closer"

Another, more mainstream example: I have David Bowie's album Sound + Vision II with track 11 being "Fascination (Ryko Mix)" yet Echo Nest returns "03 David Bowie - Day In Day Out" This is also a match type 8.

Is this sort of thing expected with Match Type 8s? Is there anything I can do to get more accurate results?

These are from my personal collection of FLACs. Also, I am sure that I will have more - those 2 are just the worst 2 from the first 400 songs in my 19,000 collection.

Just let me know what you'd like me to do - I'm glad to help. Especially since it will help me go through all my songs. I can look for more mismatches, convert to MP3 and upload, save the Codegen and song/identify query and response. Whatever I can do.

I found the first one online at Grooveshark. Listening to both this and my version, they are the same song - though not quite the same exact sound when comparing my FLAC to Grooveshark's whatever format.

When asking for songs by "The Prodigy", I sometimes get songs by "Prodigy". Both have significant catalogs of their own and dramatically different styles:

Hey Scottes -- nothing including us is perfect -- the David Bowie problem at least is from corrupted audio on our end for the target song. We fix this as we can find them.

You shouldn't see too many of these, and a Match Type 8 is normally a great match, you shouldn't have to worry.

OK, that's good to know.

What's the best way for me to fix my results for such songs, or songs that aren't in the ENMFP database? I was planning on doing a track/upload for each of these. Is that the right thing to do? That is, is it a problem if I were to track/upload that David Bowie song of mine? It seems that it will duplicate an existing ENMFP in the database but with different info (Artist, SongTitle, etc.).
