My name is Maria Eriksson and I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Culture and Media studies, Umeå University, Sweden. As part of my research, I am looking for a way to gather and analyze relevant metadata regarding streaming music. Seeing how your company is at the forefront of assembling and organizing such data, I am wondering if it would be possible for me to use your API for research purposes?
What I am interested in exploring is the contents and transformation of music metadata over time. Ideally, I would be given permission to store collected data regarding 10 artists during 1-4 weeks. The research will focus on the ways through which vast amounts of data can now be pulled together in order to fuel new conceptualizations of music, artistry and fame.
